Yolo is a nationally recognized artist, author, Iyengar yoga teacher and spiritual consultant. He has performed and featured at colleges, universities and numerous social justice conferences, including the Southeast Students against Sweatshops Conference, the 2009 National HIV prevention Conference, the State of Black Gay America Summit and more. He is the author of the poetry chapbook, " Poems in The Key Of Green" and his essays and commentaries have been published in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Charis Review, & Aquarius Atlanta.
Yolo is also the Regional Training Coordinator for Men Stopping Violence, a social change organization dedicated to ending male violence against women. Yolo was apart of the creative team that established "Sweet Tea: Southern Queer Men's Collective" & "Da C.R.I.B.B" an HIV prevention community center in Atlanta. He has been awarded the " Creative Leadership Award by the Feminist Women's Health Center" and the "Unity In Community Award' From Unity Church Atlanta.
Yolo recently released his first ever full studio effort "Purple Galaxy" A compilation of some of Yolo's most celebrated works mixed to music and song. He is currently working on video projects for the poems, slated to be released later this year. He makes his home in Brooklyn, New York.
